Another Harvest Update

We do have apples and cider in the Apple House for sale.  JonaGold, Golden Delicious, Melrose, and Stayman Winsap are few varieties we have left. The cider is still being pressed and is really fresh.  Also, did you know, that the apple cider will freeze really well.  We do this every year so we can have cider year around.  If you have freezer space, just drink off the top of the jug to give the cider room to expand, replace the lid loosely, and put in the freezer.  When you would like to drink the cider, place the jug in the refrigerator to thaw out for 24 hours or so, and then serve.  This is a great way to keep cider for those special occasions.

The pick-your-own apples has dwindled down.  The pick-your-own season was another good one this year.  The weather was mostly good and not too cold.  We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and we can't wait to see you all next year.

Regards,
A&M Farm, Orchard

Wagon Rides

I kind of jumped the gun for the tractor pulled wagon ride this weekend.  Due to the apples not being just right for picking, we will postpone for at least another weekend...(9/21, 9/22).  Sorry for any inconvenience.

As stated before, we do have a couple varieties in the pick-your-own orchard ready for you to pick...Grimes Golden and Jonathan.

Thanks,
A&M Farm

Fall is Near!

It looks like this weekend is going to be a real nice weekend.  The weather looks to be going to be giving us a break from this late Summer heat.

We are going to start up the tractor pulled wagon rides this weekend.  The apples are being picked, sorted, and set out for sale in the Apple House.  We are allowing some of the varieties that are ripe to be picked by the customers.  The apples ready are Grimes Golden, Jonathon, Gala, and there is some Early Blaze.

Cider is still a week or two away.  We are waiting to get enough of the right mixture of apple to start pressing cider.

Hope to see you soon!

Spring is in the air!  It has been a good long winter and hopefully spring and summer will turn out as they should for a good apple crop this year.

We have been working hard pruning the apple trees and I thought I would show everyone some before and after pictures of the trees.

The trees are budding and are getting close to bloom.
